Making Sure the Fans are Heard

This season, my focus is on you the fans… more than ever before.

I have always done my best to make fans feel like they are at the track – from pictures of drivers and cars, live tweets from press conferences and trackside, as well as updates during the race weekends that I am able to attend. My goal is to make sure you feel connected to this sport and realize that you are truly the ones that drive the series. Without fans, IndyCar wouldn’t exist.

I am extremely aware of how educated our fan base is – you teach me something new every day and I love that. I am also aware that you have thought-provoking questions, interesting insights, and general curiosities about the series, it’s drivers, the teams, etc., but don’t always have the access to get the answers or feedback you would like. This is where I come in. I have that access and I want to get you those answers. 

So this year, you will be able to submit questions to me prior to my attendance of an IndyCar event or race weekend and I will do my very best to get them answered for you. I thought we could try this out for IndyCar Media Day (which is tomorrow!) – let’s see what kind of response we get and how we can tweak things as the season progresses. I want to find out how this would best benefit YOU. Again, the goal here is to connect you the fans to the sport you love, so please make sure your questions are respectful and appropriate. I can’t promise to get every question answered, but you have my word that I will try.
