Push to Pass Podcast 49 – A Sit Down with Simon Pagenaud, Verizon IndyCar Series Champion

The day after Indianapolis and the IndyCar family came together to celebrate the new Verizon IndyCar Series Champion, Simon Pagenaud, the Push to Pass podcast had the opportunity to pick his brain.

Dusty and I sat down with Simon to discuss the year, how it’s all sinking in, the lack of sleep, and delve into the personality of this charismatic French-born driver. Simon has been in the spotlight for the 2016 season – one that will likely be a highlight in his sure-to-be illustrious career, but there’s more to him than immense talent and an enviable focus. He’s kind of hilarious, too!

If you’re a regular listener to Push to Pass, you know that we like to infuse fun into our coverage and if you are a regular reader of Live Full Throttle or my social media accounts, you know that I love the human side of racing. We hope you enjoy this sit down with Simon as much as we did, and we hope it gives you further insight into who he is as a person… a person that just happens to be the current Champion of the most competitive open-wheel racing series on the planet.

*A special thank you to the Le Meridien Indianapolis, their Spoke & Steele restaurant, and use of their Steve McQueen room for our recording!
