Two cars were unable to qualify for the field of 33 yesterday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Neither James Hinchcliffe in the No. 5 Arrow SPM Honda or Pippa Mann in the No. 63 Donate Life Dale Coyne Honda will start in the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500. Mann has qualified for the past six Indianapolis 500’s in a row. She’s had a best start of P22 in 2017 and a best finish of P17 in 2017. Mann is one of the passionate drivers when it comes to her sponsorships and her advocacy for issues that matter to her. From … Continue reading Bump day returns, Mann won’t compete in 2018 Indianapolis 500
Take a deep breath and get ready – this is our first endurance episode! I’m absolutely thrilled to be back on with Dusty and Zach this week, after some time off on personal leave. But there’s no time to waste so here goes! A review of the INDYCAR Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this past weekend, a look at how the first 3 days of Indianapolis 500 practice went, the return of Road to Indy Minute, and you get two-times the paddock personalities this weekend because we chatted with both Sam Schmidt and Pippa Mann on Opening Day for the … Continue reading Push to Pass [S3E14] – Sam Schmidt After the Showdown and Pippa Mann on Opening Day
The rumors are true! We are going to try standing starts again! Okay, granted, it’s in a news format and just a cute name for a segment on the best podcast ever, Push to Pass… but regardless, they are back! And so are we! As we mix things up just to confuse Dusty (cause it’s easy and so fun), and then get into a few discussions about the Indianapolis 500 grid, more IndyCar in-season testing, and of course those beautiful shiny new 2018 aerokits… even if they are just renderings for now. We recorded this earlier in the week and … Continue reading Push to Pass Podcast [S3E7] – Smaller Lighter Faster Stronger
In May of this year, Bryan Clauson raced with Dale Coyne Racing/Jonathan Byrd Racing for the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500. He built friendships with Dale Coyne teammates Conor Daly, Pippa Mann and Gabby Chaves. When Clauson’s life was tragically cut short after an on-track accident in Kansas earlier this month, the USAC legend’s “Chasing 200” tour was also left unfinished, with 116 starts to his name in 2016. Drivers from multiple racing series have committed to completing those remaining 84 starts for Clauson. Two of his 500 teammates, Daly and Mann will be part of that tally when they … Continue reading Daly Driving #88 in Honor of Clauson; Mann Returns to Tricky Triangle

The past week presented us with two fantastic examples of on-track Verizon IndyCar Series talent. We started the week on Sunday with the second race of the Dual in Detroit and ended it on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas. The tracks couldn’t be any different – the former a temporary street circuit on a island between the Motor City in Michigan and Windsor, ON in Canada; the latter a mile-and-a-half oval yielding speeds of 215mph+ from IndyCars, and currently in its 20th year of operation. The selection of drivers I chose to focus on for this piece are also very … Continue reading From Detroit to Texas, IndyCar Underdogs Are Having Their Day

Yesterday in Philadelphia, Andretti Autosport and TE Connectivity came together to announce that Simona de Silvestro would pilot the No. 29 Honda in the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500.
